Photography has long been a passion of mine. As a young child I was lucky enough to have a mom who considered driving an old station wagon around town a good trade for taking the occasional trip of a lifetime. I couldn’t agree more, and would say it would seem I have followed in her footsteps. Thanks Mom!
Having these opportunities at a very young age exposed me to the beauty of the natural world and of different cultures. As soon as I was old enough to understand the old disposable camera, I began filling them up with my own creations. The anticipation of waiting to see what I had shot building all vacation long. Oh the days before digital and insta everything.
Eventually I got my own point and shoot, and became quite adept at using it. I still think the macro capabilities of those first generation point and shoot cameras was amazing, and I still look back fondly at some of those photos I took.
The trips kept coming, and with them came more and more of the desire to capture the moments and experience I had while there. I am a bit of a perfectionist, and so I constantly was striving for better photos. This meant better cameras, and better editing software.
Fast forward a bunch of years, and here I am in Stowe Vermont, still cultivating that desire to capture the perfect photograph. New equipment, new places to travel, but that same desire to hold onto those special moments, and show them off in a way that is both accurate and creative.
